Today’s field visits beautifully illustrated how targeted investments are elevating rural economies from the ground up. The mission observed the remarkable progress of newly rehabilitated village tanks and rural feeder roads, which are essential for securing continuous water access and effortlessly connecting farmers to commercial markets. Beyond vital infrastructure, the visits showcased outstanding strides in climate-smart agriculture, featuring flourishing hybrid watermelon and mung bean cultivations, alongside thriving backyard poultry initiatives that actively enhance household nutrition. Adding to this momentum was the dedication of young, innovative rural entrepreneurs who are breaking new ground in the agri-processing sector, successfully running high-value businesses like dehydrated food production, peanut butter manufacturing, and modernized layer poultry farming.
