IFAD Conducts Supervision Mission in Sri Lanka for Smallholder Agribusiness and Resilience Project (SARP)

The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) has embarked on a Supervision Mission in Sri Lanka, focusing on the Smallholder Agribusiness and Resilience Project (SARP). The team, led by Ms. Sherina Tabassum and comprising experts in various agricultural fields, is conducting detailed field visits across several districts, including Kurunegala, Vavuniya, Anuradhapura, and Puttalam.

During their assessment, they have engaged with local farmer organizations and inspected a variety of project sites, including tank rehabilitation, Farmer Field Schools, and home gardens, while also enjoying a meal prepared by the community. The mission will continue until December 14, 2024, as they work to enhance agricultural resilience and promote sustainable practices among smallholder farmers in the region.
