Reforestation in watershed areas: Under this project, reforestation activities are being carried out in watershed areas covering 562 hectares associated with the rehabilitated tanks. This includes planting tree species such as Mee, Kumbuk, Kaluwara, and Karanda. A budget of Rs. 13.53 million has been allocated to the Department of Conservation, which is responsible for carrying out these planting activities.

Additionally, commercial-value ariconut plantations are being established with the cooperation of project beneficiaries and stakeholders to cover the bund areas of rehabilitated tanks. Ariconut planting is currently underway in tanks where construction has been completed.
